Cost Recovery Services and Purchasing

In addition to the provisioning and support of core administrative, educational and infrastructure services, EITS also provides service offerings tailored to the unique needs of UGA departments. These services are provided on a cost recovery basis, with significant cost savings realized by centralized administration of platforms and applications.

CESS Process

The purpose of Computer Equipment, Software and Services (CESS) approval is to review qualifying IT projects for risk assessment and compliance with Board of Regents policy. Items that are considered qualifying IT projects include hardware purchases, software licensing, third-party hosting, IT consulting services and more.

Cost Recovery Services

Services currently offered on a cost recovery basis include network connectivity and support; centralized file, web, database, application hosting; managed support ticket tracking system; desktop support (on-site or remote); and campus software licensing.
