How to Enroll Devices in ArchPass, powered by Duo

To log in to an ArchPass-protected system, you will first enter your UGA MyID and password. Click Login. If this is your first time setting up your Archpass, powered by Duo account, you should see a screen that says Welcome to Duo Security. Click Next.

Click Next on the Did you know? security statistic page.

Click Next on the What can you do? page.

Select the method of authentication that you want to set up. We highly recommend the Duo Mobile option. If you do not have a smart phone, you will want to select the phone number option. Once you know what option you want to use, move to the section detailing how to set up your specific authentication method.

Smartphone enrollment

If you have a smart phone and would like to setup the Duo Mobile app, click the Duo Mobile option on the Select an option screen.

After selecting the Duo Mobile option, you will be prompted to enter your phone number. Enter your phone number and select the corresponding country code.

You will then be prompted to mark the checkbox to confirm that the phone number is correct. Click Yes, it’s correct to continue.

You will then be instructed to download and install the Duo Mobile app. Follow the installation directions for your device. Once you have successfully installed the Duo Mobile app on your device, you will then hit the Next button.

You will then move on to the activation page where you will be instructed to open the Duo Mobile App on your phone.

In the app, click Continue on the Welcome screen.

Then click Use a QR code.

The camera will open, allow camera permission if needed, and then scan the QR barcode.

After scanning the code in the app, click Save.

You also have the option to receive an activation link via email instead. Follow the instructions in the email if you choose this option.

If you chose to activate the Duo Mobile app using your email, you will be asked for your email. Type your email and then click Send Email.

Go to the inbox of the email you entered on the device you installed Duo Mobile on. You should see an email titled Duo Mobile Activation. Open the email and click the link. If it asks if you want to open Duo Mobile, hit open or allow.

After activating the app, it will take you to a screen that says Added Duo Mobile. Then click Continue.

You can now add another option for logging in. You can always add another option later. Click Skip for now if you do not want to add any more login options. You are done setting up ArchPass, powered by Duo.

Basic cellphone enrollment

To enroll a basic cellphone, select Phone number.

Select your country code and enter your telephone number. Then click Add phone number.

Confirm the phone number is entered correctly, then click Yes, it’s correct.

Click Continue to finish the basic cellphone setup with Duo.

You can now add another option for logging in. You can always add another option later. Click Skip for now if you do not want to add any more login options. You are done setting up ArchPass, powered by Duo.

Tablet enrollment

If you have a tablet and would like to set up the Duo Mobile app, click the Duo Mobile option on the Select an option screen.

After selecting the Duo Mobile option, you will be prompted to enter a phone number. Click I have a tablet instead.

You will then be instructed to download and install the Duo Mobile app. Follow the installation directions for your device. Once you have successfully installed the Duo Mobile app on your device, you will then hit the Next button.

Landline phone enrollment

To enroll a landline, select Phone number.

Select your country code and enter your telephone number. Check the This is a landline phone box. Then click Add phone number.

If you have an extension, enter that extension number and then click Add extension. Otherwise, click Skip this step.

Confirm the phone number and extension is entered correctly, then click Yes, it’s correct.

You will be taken to the Added phone call confirmation screen. Please read the message and then click Continue.
