Cost Recovery Overview

In addition to the provisioning and support of core administrative, educational and infrastructure services, EITS also provides service offerings tailored to the unique needs of UGA departments. These services are provided on a cost recovery basis, with significant cost savings realized by centralized administration of platforms and applications.

Services currently offered include network connectivity and support; centralized file, web, database, application hosting; managed support ticket tracking system; desktop support (on-site or remote); and campus software licensing.

Who can purchase Cost Recovery Services?

Cost recovery services are available for purchase by UGA departments. Once purchased and provisioned, services may be used by students, faculty, staff or others, depending on the service purchased.

Each of the cost recovery software products and services requires a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) & Service Level Agreement (SLA) between EITS and interested departments in order to meet service requirements and expectations for both parties.

EITS uses DocuSign for signature routing and distribution of all IT services Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).

All MOUs sent through DocuSign by EITS will clearly indicate the EITS service in the email subject line.

MOUs for Network Partnership (NSP) services will come from nsp-contract@uga.edu . All other MOUs will come from cr-eits@uga.edu

Cost Recovery Services Billing  Information

The Network Support Partnership, Operations and Infrastructure Services, Cable TV, and Telephone Services are billed each month when work orders are complete.

Billing for Licensing is as follows with new provisioned licenses billed the month after they are provisioned:

All other EITS services will be on a biannual billing, occurring every October and April.
