This article explains how to change your UGAMail email alias. Please note that this process can take up to 24 hours to go into effect.
Visit https://myidprofile.uga.edu/UgaMail
Log in with your MyID and password.
Once signed in, you will be able to edit your email alias (By default your email alias is usually first.lastname@uga.edu). Select Edit next to your email alias.
A new window will open. In the box New UGA Mail Alias, type your desired email alias. A preview of your new alias will be shown below.
When you have the desired email alias, click Save Changes to save your email alias.
Please note: When logging into UGAMail, you always use your MyID address (myid@uga.edu).
Please note: You can receive an error when creating an email alias if the email alias that you are trying to create is already taken.
