Note: These instructions are for downloading and accessing the VPN client on a mobile device. For instructions on downloading and accessing the VPN client on a laptop or desktop, visit How to Access the Remote Access VPN on a laptop or desktop.
Open the Cisco Secure Client-AnyConnect app. This app is available for free in the App Store or Google Play.

Tap Connections.

Tap Plus icon to add VPN Connection.

You can type a name for the connection in the Description field or leave it blank. Enter remote.uga.edu for the Server Address. Tap Done.

Your device may ask permission to add a VPN Connection. If it does, allow it. Click back arrow to get to the main screen.
Turn on the switch for AnyConnect VPN to open the login screen.

A login screen will display.

Enter your MyID@uga.edu email address for the username and tap Next. You cannot use your email alias address.

Enter your password into the box and tap Log in.

You will be presented with a Duo authentication request like you would on a regular UGA SSO login. Complete the Duo authentication.

Click Other options if you wish to use a different authentication method than the one presented automatically. Please note, platform authenticators (Touch ID/Face ID, Android biometrics, Windows Hello) do not work with the embedded login window as cookies cannot be accessed or saved, so will not be presented as an available authentication option.

Once you have completed your chosen Duo authentication method, you will be connected to the VPN.
