
MATLAB, a MathWorks product, is a numerical computing application with access to symbolic computing abilities. Simulink, a graphical multi-domain simulation and model-based design for dynamic and embedded systems, is included in UGA's licensing.
Who can access MATLAB?
Students, faculty, and staff with active MyIDs may use MATLAB for free. This software is not licensed for commercial use.
MATLAB is offered to campus as part of a cost-sharing program. Departments seeking information on this cost-sharing program should contact EITS Contracts and Licensing.
How do I access MATLAB?
Request a license using our license request form.
You will be sent an email with a link to installation instructions, as well as the Activation Key.
How do I reactivate MATLAB?
To get a new license and reactivate your copy of MATLAB, submit a license request through our license request form. You will be sent an activation key via email.
Open MATLAB and scroll to the Resources section of the toolbar. Click the Help menu.
Hover over the Licenses sub-menu.
Click Activate Software. This will launch the MATLAB activation client.
If you have any issues with reactivation, fill out the MATLAB issues form.
