It can be used to help draft documents and emails, give writing assistance, generate and collaborate on code, translate text and solve problems, explore and summarize web content, and generate artistic content.
Who can access Copilot with Commercial Data Protection?
Microsoft Copilot with Commercial Data Protection is free to all students, faculty, and staff with their Microsoft Office 365 license.
How do I access Copilot with Commercial Data Protection?
Students, faculty, and staff can success Copilot by visiting https://m365.cloud.microsoft/chat and logging in with their MyID (myid@uga.edu) and password.
There are two ways to access Copilot with commercial data protection. You may click the Log in to Copilot button at the top of this article or you can access copilot through your UGA Mail.
How to access Copilot with commercial data protection through your UGA Mail account
Visit outlook.office.com and log in with your myid@uga.edu.

Once logged in click the App Square in the top-left hand corner.

From the list of Microsoft applications that appear, choose Microsoft 365 Copilot.

The Microsoft 365 Copilot page will open.

Privacy with Microsoft Copilot with Commercial Data Protection
With Copilot with Commercial Data Protection Microsoft does not retain the prompts or responses issued by the user and they are not used to train large language models. It does not have access to organizational resources or content within UGA’s Microsoft 365 tenant, such as documents in OneDrive or emails.
