UGA students, faculty, and staff can download the latest versions of Microsoft 365 applications as part of the university's Microsoft Campus Agreement, and install these applications on up to five different computers with a single Microsoft 365 license (Windows or MacOS) and on their mobile devices (Android or iOS).
Note: Incoming students will be able to download the latest versions of the applications to their desktop or laptop until about one week before the start of their first classes. This includes returning students who may have lost access while away.
Download instructions
Option 1.
Go to office.com or microsoft365.com and choose Sign in. Enter your UGA Email address (MyID@uga.edu) for your Username and your MyID Password for the Password. Once signed in follow the instructions in Option 2 at the Install and More Step.
Option 2.
Log into your UGAMail online at ugamail.uga.edu.
Click on the nine dots menu in the upper-left hand corner.
Then click Microsoft 365.
A new browser tab will open. On the right-hand side of the screen click Install and more.
Under Install and more, click Install Microsoft 365 apps and one more tab will open.
Choose Install Office and the download will start.
Note: You must connect your device to the Internet at least once every 30 days to verify the status of your Microsoft 365 subscription. If you do not connect within 30 days, your applications go into reduced functionality mode until you connect your device to the Internet again.
