Note: PAWS-Secure and eduroam wireless networks are only available to UGA students, faculty, staff and others with a valid MyID. If you do not have a MyID and password, please follow the instructions for connecting to the UGA_Visitors_Wifi.
Android devices can vary based on manufacturer and carrier. Below is a guide featuring screenshots from a Google Pixel, but the guide should be helpful for other Android devices as well.
On your device's main menu, choose Settings. Then select Internet.
Select the wireless network you wish to connect to: PAWS-Secure or eduroam.
Enter your credentials into the phone.
- If you are connecting to PAWS-Secure, your Identity will be your MyID. Your password will be your MyID password.
- If you are connecting to eduroam, your Identity will be your MyID@uga.edu. Your password will be your MyID password.
- EAP method should be PEAP.
- Phase 2 authentication should be MSCHAPV2
- CA Certificate should be Use system certificates
- Online Certificate status should be Do not verify
- Domain should be msmyid.uga.edu
- Anonymous identity should be blank
- If prompted "Is this network trusted?" Click Yes, connect.
Troubleshooting steps
Forget the Network
If you are having issues connecting to PAWS-Secure or eduroam, try forgetting the connection and re-entering your credentials.
Select the name of the network, then select the gear icon.
Select Forget Network.
Return to Internet on your device, and follow the steps for connecting.
Network Settings Reset
If you are having issues connecting to PAWS-Secure or eduroam, try resetting your Wi-Fi, mobile and Bluetooth Settings on your device.
Go to Settings on your device. Scroll down and select System.
Select Reset Options.
Select Reset Wi-Fi, mobile and Bluetooth.
