Zoom

Zoom is an online communication platform that allows users to connect through the use of video, audio and chat.

Users can join, start, or schedule meetings. While in a meeting, participants can share their video and turn on their microphones to interact with the video. Participants can also use the chat feature in a meeting to further interact and ask questions of the host. Meetings can be recorded either locally or on the cloud for easy retrieval.

Who has access to Zoom?

Eligible UGA students, faculty, staff, and some affiliates have free access to Zoom with their MyID and password.

How do I access Zoom?

Zoom requires an Internet connection to be used as well as a supported device. Zoom can be used either through a browser or on a local application, either on a computer or phone. For more information on accessing Zoom, see our How to Access Zoom article.
