When you are in a Teams Meeting or have your Teams application set to Do Not Disturb, you will not receive calls to Teams Phone. However, if there are emergency numbers or other numbers you want to receive calls from while in meetings or on Do Not Disturb, you can give these numbers priority access in the Teams Phone application.
EITS recommends using this process to ensure that calls from UGA Alert, UGA's emergency notification system, go through your Teams Phone. The UGA Alert number is 706-542-0111.
Open Microsoft Teams and click on the three dots in the upper-right hand portion of the toolbar.
Click Settings.
Select the Privacy tab, and under the Do Not Disturb section, click Manage priority access.
Add the names or numbers of the contacts you want to allow through. EITS recommends adding the UGA Alert number (706-542-0111) to allow emergency notifications to go through.
