Delegation allows another person (a “delegate”) to manage your calendar and/or email on your behalf. Depending on the permissions you grant, a delegate can:
- Create and modify events
- Respond to meeting requests
- Manage your calendar while you are unavailable
Note: Delegation is different from basic calendar sharing. Delegates have broader control over your calendar.
The level of access a delegate has depends on the permissions you assign.
When Should I Use Delegation?
Use delegation if you need an assistant or colleague to actively manage your schedule.
