Secure Virtual Desktop (SecVDI) for Restricted Data is for University of Georgia faculty and staff who handle restricted information (such as SSN, HIPAA data, or credit card data. This service provides a secure environment to access and work with sensitive data, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and guidelines from external partners.

- One-time Provisioning Fee: Each SecureVDI instance incurs a one-time setup fee.
- Standard Configuration:
- 2 vCPU (virtual CPU cores)
- 6GB RAM (virtual memory)
- 50 GB HDD (virtual storage)
- Additional memory, compute power, or storage can be added for an extra cost.
- Remote Desktop Image Management (RDI): Clients must also purchase RDI services.
- Cancellation Policy: Service cancellations require a 90-day notice.
- Data Backup: Data stored locally within a SecureVDI instance is not backed up by EITS. If you need a storage solution for saving or sharing data with other SecureVDI users, please contact us about our Secure IFS service offering.
