The University of Georgia provides Single Sign‑On (SSO) for web applications using UGA Central Authentication Service (Apereo CAS) and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
Use this request to:
- Request a new SSO integration
- Ask questions or receive guidance before submitting an SSO request
If you’re unsure which option to select or how to proceed, choose the “Unsure” option in the request form to receive additional guidance from our team.
What to Expect
A downloadable, fillable PDF is available for application owners to share with their vendor to assist in gathering the required information for completing the SSO service request.
Process:
- If UGA SSO (CAS) is selected, requests follow a workflow involving the application owner, Information Security, the SE Linux team, and the EITS Identity Management team.
- If Microsoft Entra ID is selected, requests follow a workflow involving the application owner, Information Security, and the UGAmail team.
Timeline:
- UGA SSO (CAS): Please allow a minimum of eight weeks from submission to production deployment. This timeline includes progression through development, staging, and production environments and may vary based on integration complexity and security requirements.
- Microsoft Entra ID: Integrations typically have a shorter timeline, as configuration occurs only in the production environment.
Authentication Options
- Single‑factor authentication
- Multi‑factor authentication (MFA) using ArchPass (Duo)
Applications that access sensitive or restricted data are required to use MFA.
