Once inside the meeting you have created, there are several different settings that can be adjusted.
General Meeting Settings
General meeting settings can be found by opening the Participants side bar and selecting the three dots at the bottom of the page.
Once the three dots are selected, a pop-up list will appear containing various options for personalizing the meeting. Most of the settings are straightforward; the more obscure ones are explained below.
Mute participants upon entry: When a participant joins the meeting, their microphone is automatically muted. The participants still have the ability to un-mute themselves as needed to participate.
Lock meeting: This option allows the host/co-host to lock the meeting once all anticipated participants have joined. Once a meeting is locked, no further users can join the meeting, regardless if they have the meeting password.
Removing a participant
If you notice an uninvited or unwanted guest has joined your meeting, you have the ability to remove them from the meeting.
To remove a user, select the Participants button along the bottom of the Zoom window. A list of participants will be displayed to the right of the window.
Hover your mouse over the user you wish to remove. A button containing three dots will appear.
Select the three dots buttons, and an option will appear to Remove. Select this option, and the participant will be removed from the meeting.
Advanced sharing options
These options can be found by selecting the up-arrow next to the Share Screen option at the bottom of the meeting window. Selecting this button will open an abbreviated list of sharing options.
At the bottom is an option called Advanced Sharing Options. Selecting this button will pull up a window where sharing options can be further explored.
These options can be changed as needed based on the particular needs for your meeting.
Security Options
Along the bottom of the meeting window is a button called Security. Selecting this button will pull up a list of options to secure your meeting. These settings can be changed based on your specific meeting needs.
