View or Edit Departmental Approvers in OneUSG Connect

   Overview   

To View Approvers: In OneUSG Connect, you can run a query to view departmental approvers (180_SEC_DEPT_APPROVERS). There are no prompts in the query because the results displayed are based on your security. Information returned includes Department Approval Level, Effective Date, the approver's Empl ID (User), Last Name, and First Name.

To Edit Approvers: Approvers can be updated via an MSS Security Request in OneUSG Connect. 

In this article, you will learn the steps to run a query on the OneUSG Connect System Manager Reporting Page in order to view a list of departmental approvers.

1. Step 1

First, log into OneUSG Connect

Click on the Employee Self Service dropdown.

Manager Self Service option selected

Click on the Manager Self Service option.

System Manager Reporting tile selected

Click on the System Manager Reporting tile.

Report Distribution Mgr page is displayed

The Report Distribution Mgr page is displayed with a list of available Security Queries.

Security and Workflow dropwdown menu selected

Click on the Security and Workflow dropwdown menu.

Security Access Query Group tab selected

Click the Security Access Query Group tab.

Select the 1. Departmental Approvers query link

The Security Access Query Group page is displayed with a list of available Security Queries.

Select the 1. Departmental Approvers query link.

HR Department Description field selected

The 180_SEC_Dept Approvers_V2 - Department Approvers query page is displayed.

To search for the appropriate HR Dept by description, enter a full or partial department name in the HR Department Description field.

Use the wildcard character (%) to broaden your search.

Click View Results to display query results.

Within the Department Approval Level field, click the drop down arrow to select the appropriate Approver option.

Note: The Level 3 Approver role is currently unassigned and not in use.

11. Step 11

Excel Spreadsheet link selected

Click on the Excel Spreadsheet link to view the results in an Excel file.

With the appropriate information entered into the search fields, click the View Results button to run the Query.
