Deleting an Expense Line in a Pending Expense Report

It may be necessary to delete lines in an expense report. The Travel module provides the capability to delete an expense line in pending status only. In this article, you will learn to steps to delete an expense entry.  

   Instructions   

  1. Step 1: Click the Expenses tile.
  2. Step 2: Click the My Expense Reports tile.
  3. Step 3: Click the Not Submitted link to open all the expense reports in that category.
  4. Step 4: Click the appropriate expense report to view its details at the expense line level.
  5. Step 5: Click the checkbox next to the expense line you wish to delete.
  6. Step 6: Click the Delete button.
  7. Step 7: In the confirmation window, click the Yes button to delete the selected expense.
  8. Step 8: Notice that the selected expense line is deleted from the Total items.
  9. Step 9: Click the Save button to save your changes.
  10. Step 10: Click the Home button to return to the Home page.

In this article, you will learn the steps to delete an expense line in a pending expense report.

Click the Expenses tile.

Click the My Expense Reports tile.

The My Expense Reports page is displayed. This page allows you to access expense reports in various stages.

Note: Only Returned or Not Submitted expense reports can be modified.

Click the Not Submitted link to open all the expense reports in that category.

Note: If an expense line was added from item in My Wallet, and that expense line is deleted, the item will return to the employee's My Wallet for future use.   

Click the appropriate expense report to view its details at the expense line level.

The Expense Entry page displays expenses by dates.

Click the checkbox next to the expense line you wish to delete.

Click the Delete button.

In the confirmation window, click the Yes button to delete the selected expense.

Notice that the selected expense line is deleted from the Total items.

Click the Save button to save your changes.

Your changes have been saved.

Click the Home button to return to the Home page.
