Working with Search Lists

   Overview   

Search lists are returned when more than one record matches entered search criteria. The lists can be used to retrieve similar records for view or update.

   Instructions   

  1. Step 1: Click the Name column header.
  2. Step 2: Click the Report Status column header.
  3. Step 3: The list is now sorted alphabetically by report status.
  4. Step 4: The upper right corner of the Search Results list displays the number of records that were retrieved for the search.
  5. Step 5: The last records are displayed in the list.
  6. Step 6: Click the right arrow to scroll to the next page of search results.

The search pages for each component in the classic view provide criteria to limit records to use or allow you to retrieve the first 300 records in the database if you do not specify criteria.

In this article, you will learn how to use the controls within any Classic View search results list.

1. Step 1

After clicking the Search button for any Classic View search, all available matches are displayed below the criteria in the Search Results section.

You can re-sort this list by clicking on any of the column headers to create an ascending or descending sort based on that column.

Click the Name column header.

2. Step 2

The list is now sorted alphabetically by name.

Note : Employee information has been redacted for privacy.

Click the Report Status column header.

3. Step 3

The list is now sorted alphabetically by report status.

The upper right corner of the Search Results list displays the number of records that were retrieved for the search.

Note: The navigation buttons allow you to navigate through the list to find the record you want.

5. Step 5

The last records are displayed in the list.

This displays the beginning of the list.

Click the right arrow to scroll to the next page of search results.
