Updating the Connection Settings for the Budget & Project Status Cubes

First, log into Office of Institutional Research

From the Office of Institutional Research Operational Reports page (https://oir.uga.edu/data/oper/), 

Click the Budget Status Cube link.

Follow the system prompts to open the cube.

To begin using the cube, click the Enable Editing button.

Click the Data tab at the top of the Excel menu ribbon.

To activate the cube, click any cell within the PivotTable.

Note : You will know you have selected the cube when the Analyze and Design tabs are visible in the menu ribbon.

In the Connections section of the Data tab, click the  Properties  button

The Connection Properties popup window is displayed.

Click the Definition tab.

The Definition tab is displayed. Locate the Connection string field. This field sets parameters for the source data that populates the cube.

Select: dw-as-qa1.msmyid.uga.edu/dwas.

The selected text needs to be replaced with the correct information.

Enter wp-edw-ssas01.msmyid.uga.edu\dwas

Note:   You can delete the entire Connection string and paste in Provider=MSOLAP.5;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=True;Initial Catalog=PS_Financials;Data Source=wp-edw-ssas01.msmyid.uga.edu\dwas;MDX Compatibility=1;Safety Options=2;MDX Missing Member Mode=Error;Update Isolation Level=2

Enter appropriate information into the  Description:  field to provide further clarification.

Example shown here: " Production ".

Once all changes have been made, click the OK button.

A confirmation popup is displayed.

Click the Yes button.
