The Departmental Tree report in the UGA Budget Management System allows you to see all of the departments that roll up in your department structure. Departments marked with a [C] are controlled departments and departments marked with a [T] track transactions. Departments marked with a [CT] do both.
In this article, you will learn the steps to view your Departmental Tree.
First, log into the Budget Management System.
On the UGA Budget Management page, click the Explore button.
The Explore page is displayed. The left side of the page displays the Root folder.
Click UGA Reports drop-down menu item.
The UGA Reports folder items are displayed.
Click the Department folder item.
A list of Department Reports is displayed.
Double click the Departmental Tree Report from the list.
The Respond to Prompts window is displayed.
Enter the appropriate information into the Enter Department: field.
Example shown here: "D32000000". The D stands for Department.
Click the OK button.
The University of Georgia Departmental Tree page is displayed.
Click the drop-down menu item button to expand the link.
Click the appropriate drop-down menu item.
Click the GLOBIS Center drop-down menu item.
The letters at the end of the department name indicate the control budget level for that department.
C is a department that controls a budget but does not allow transactions.
CT indicates that budget is controlled, but transactions can be entered at this level.
T indicates that transactions may be entered but the budget is controlled at the next higher level.
Select the GLOBIS Operating drop-down menu item.
You have reached the last level of the departmental tree.
