Entering/Updating a License or Certification

   Overview   

You can add license or certification information to your Talent Profile in OneUSG Connect.  Once this information is submitted, it goes to the Office of Academic Affairs. They will work with you if any documentation is required to approve the entry.

In this article, you will learn the steps to add a license or certification to your Talent Profile in OneUSG Connect.

Note: Employee information has been masked or changed for privacy.

1. Step 1

First, log into the UGA Financial Management System.

Click the Degrees & Certificates tile.

2. Step 2

The Talent Profile page is displayed.

Click the Licenses and Certifications link.

Click the Add button.

The Licenses and Certifications information page is displayed.

To indicate when the addition takes place, type the date or click the Calendar icon next to the Effective Date field.

Click the Month drop-down list.

Select the appropriate month.

Click the look up magnifying glass next to the License field to select the type of license.

The Lookup search page for Licenses is displayed.

You can search for the license using Content Item, Description or a Short Description for the license type.

To change the search operator, click the drop-down list next to begins with.

For this example, click the contains list item.

Enter appropriate information into the search fields.

Click the Search button.

The searched results are displayed.

Click the appropriate link.

Note: If you do not see the license/certification listed, contact Shared Services to request the item to be added.

The Country field will default to United States. You can change the country by clicking the look up magnifying glass next to the Country field.

Click the look up magnifying glass next to the State field.

Select the appropriate state.

Update the next four fields as needed.

Note: Indicate if renewal is required for this license, if your renewal for this license is in progress, or if it is currently suspended.

Enter the License/Certification Number into the License/Certification field.

Example shown here: "10102069A13-FA" into the License/Certification Number field.

20. Step 20

Enter who issues the license into the Issued By field.

Example shown here: "American Heart Association".

Click the Continue button.

Click the Submit for Approval button.

Enter any comments you wish to send to the profile approver in the Comments field.

Click the Submit button to submit the license for approval.

License and certification entries may require validation and approval by your HR team. They will work with you if any documentation is required to approve the entry.

A pop-up message will display to notify you that additional documents might be required for approval.

Click the OK button.

The message at the top of the page indicates that the certification is saved and submitted for approval.
