For certain departmental sales accounts, a user might not need to transfer expense but rather increase revenue. A user will always increase a revenue AND an expense account code an equal amount on a revenue amendment. Whether the actual revenue is higher than the budgeted amount, or if the budget needs increased for other reasons, this amendment type will increase the revenue for the appropriate chartstring.
In this article, you will learn how to create a detailed amendment for revenues.
Begin by opening the correct Application. Use the following for the UGABUD application.
Applications > Planning > UGABUD
Click the UGABUD menu entry.
Click the Expand icon to open the Forms panel.
When the Form Folder opens, click the Expand link to view the available forms.
Click the Amendments link.
A list of Forms in Amendments is shown.
Click the Amendment Review option.
Right click on a Revenue balance that needs to be amended.

A pop-up menu is displayed. You can drill down to see the values that make up this number.
Click the Investigate_Details menu entry.
Right click on the Revenue balance to be amended.

To see what can be done to increase the selected chartstring balance amount, click “Find Money” to see where money can be moved to/from.
Click the Find Money menu entry.
Right click on a Revenue balance to be increased.

You are now ready to create an amendment that will move the budget between chartstrings.
Click the Generate Detailed Amendment menu entry.
Type the amount of the amendment. This must be a non-zero amount.

A message informs you that the amendment creation was successful.
Click the OK button.
The Detailed Revenue amendment is created and displayed.
