You can add and/or delete routings by range for Spend or Journal Approvers. Multiple ranges of roles can be inserted/deleted to user profiles, eliminating the need for manual entry.

Quick Start to Financials Approval Pools
In this article, you will learn the steps to add and/or delete routings by range for Spend or Journal Approvers.
First, log into the UGA Financial Management System.
Click the Classic Home tile.
To navigate to the Route Control Maintenance page, select:
Main Menu > UGA> UGA Access Request > Route Control Maintenance
The Route Control Maintenance search page is displayed.
Click the Search button.
The results page is displayed. Enter the user’s MyID (if known) or use the Search controls at the top of the page to refine the results.
Click the User ID link for the employee with changed assignments.
The UGA Routing Maintenance page for the employee is displayed. Scroll down to add roles and routings for this User ID.
To find the role to change, click the Look up magnifying glass under the Role Name field.
The Look Up Role Name window is displayed. Select the role you want to add.
Click the appropriate role. Click the UGA Journal Approver 1 link.
Enter the first in the range of departments for this role that the user can approve.
Click the look up magnifying glass under the From Department field.
Click the link to start the range. Click the 10000000 link.
Select the end of the range of departments.
Note : If there is only one department, enter the department at the top of the page rather than using the ranges function, which requires running a process.
Click the look up magnifying glass under the To Department field.
Select the last department in the range. Click the 10005000 link.
Select the action you want to perform for this role and routing range.
Click the Insert or Delete drop-down list.
Click the Insert list item.
You can add more than one action to this transaction.
Click the Plus [+] link to add another row
To add another range of routings for the user, click the look up magnifying glass under Role Name.
Select the appropriate role. Click the UGA Journal Approver 2 link.
Enter the first department in the range for the added role.
Select the appropriate department ID to begin the range.
Click the 10000000 link.
Select the appropriate department ID to end the range.
Click the 10005000 link.
Indicate the action for this role and routing range.
Click the Save button.
Run the process to add these roles and routings to this user.
Click the Click to Run Process link.
You can use an existing run control for the process.
Note: If you want to create a new Run Control ID, enter it on the Add a New Value tab.
Select the appropriate Run Control ID. Click the Test_Routings link.
Run the process.
The Process Scheduler Request window is displayed.
Click the OK button.
To see when the process is completed, click the Process Monitor link.
Click the Refresh button in intervals to see when the status of the process changes.
Note: You might have to refresh more than once for the Run Status to be a success.
When the process shows a Run Status of Success and a Distribution Status of Posted, you can return to the Route Control Maintenance page.
Click the Route Control Maint Process link.
To search if the process was successful, enter the User ID to which you added roles and routings into the begins with field, or click the search button to select the User ID from a list of values.
The range of Journal/Spend Approver Roles are displayed for the User ID.
To delete approval routings for a range of departments for a specific role, click the look up magnifying glass under the Role Name field.
Select the role that needs to have routings deleted. Click the UGA Journal Approver 2 link.
Select the first department in the range to be deleted.
Select the Department ID for the beginning of the range. Click the 10000000 link.
Now select the Department ID to end the range.
Select the last ID in the range. Click the 10001003 link.
Select the action for this role and routing.
Click the Insert or Delete list.
Click the Delete list item.
Search for an existing run control or use the Add a New Value tab to enter a new Run Control ID.
A Process Instance number is assigned to help you identify the process when using the Process Monitor or report manager.
To monitor the progress of the process, click the Process Monitor link.
As you monitor the process, you can click the Refresh button to update the report status.
Note: You might have to refresh more than once.
When the report is complete, the Run Status will say Success and the Distribution Status will say Posted.
Click the Route Control Maintenance link to return to the maintenance page.
Enter the User ID to view the remaining approval routings associated with the User ID and click the Search button.
As you review the Workflow Routings, you can see that the specified workflow routing was deleted for the User ID.
