If your phone number changes, you can easily update it in Employee Self Service in OneUSG Connect. You can also add and delete additional phone numbers if needed. Please note that you will not be able to change the Business number listed, which is maintained by HR.
When updating a personal contact number, it must be in a specific format. Example: 7065551212 and 706- 555-1212 will both save as 706/555-1212 (prescribed format). All other formats will receive an error.
Phone numbers will not save with less than or more than 10 digits. Phone numbers will not save with values other than numeric.
As of October 12, 2024, you must be connected to a UGA Campus network to make changes to Personal Details information. Other connections are view only access. If you cannot connect from a campus network and need to make changes, please contact the UGA HR team
In this article, you will learn the steps to change your phone number.
Note: Employee data has been masked or changed to protect employee identity.
From Employee Self Service, click the Personal Details tile.
On the Personal Details page, click the Contact Details button.
On the Contact details page, scroll to the bottom to view the Changes to Personal Details warning. You must be on a UGA network to make changes to this page.
Click the Update Contact Details button.
Your current contact details that are stored in the application are listed.
Note: Your Business Phone number is your official number at UGA and is not editable. You will need to contact your manager if this number is incorrect.
To edit your current Home number, click your Home phone number.
Delete the existing information in the Number field.
Enter the new phone number.
Note: The Preferred option is not available for Home number.

Click the Save button.
The new number is displayed.
