Managing Favorite Queries

   Overview   

As you are given the names of UGA Financial Management queries to use for different tasks, you can save them in a favorites list to cut down on the time it takes to search for a query when you need to use it.

   Instructions   

  1. Step 1: Save your favorite queries in Query Viewer.
  2. Step 2: Enter appropriate information into the Search By field.
  3. Step 3: Click the Search button. 
  4. Step 4: Click the Favorite link.
  5. Step 5: The query is added to the My Favorite Queries list.
  6. Step 6: Use the remove [--] button if you need to remove a query from the list.
  7. Step 7: Click the Clear Favorites List button.
  8. Step 8: The Query Viewer page is displayed without the My Favorite Queries list.

In this article, you will learn how to save, remove and clear queries in the My Favorite Queries list.

1. Step 1

First, log into UGA Financial Management System

You save your favorite queries in Query Viewer.

2. Step 2

The Query Viewer search page is displayed. Type the name of your query in the Search By Query Name field.

Note: Queries developed for OneSource start with UGA followed by the module abbreviation. Example: UGA_AP for Accounts Payable queries.

Enter appropriate information into the Search By field.

Example shown here: Enter "UGA_TE" into the Search By field.

Click the Search button.

Queries that match the criteria are displayed. To add the query to your My Favorite Queries list,

Click the Favorite link.

The query is added to the My Favorite Queries list, which appears beneath the search results.

Queries added to your My Favorite Queries list, it will be displayed on the Query Viewer page each time you open it.

Use the remove [--] button if you need to remove a query from the list.

7. Step 7

To remove all entries from the My Favorite Queries list,

Click the Clear Favorites List button.

The Query Viewer page is displayed without the My Favorite Queries list.
