OneUSG Connect allows you to submit a request to retire an employee. The Retirement Effective Date is always the first day of a month.
The request should not be submitted until the employee has visited with HR and has a retirement date set.
The transaction will be routed through the OneUSG Connect workflow process for the appropriate approval.

In this article, you will submit a request to retire an employee.
First, log into OneUSG Connect.
From the Manager Self service page, click the NavBar button.
Click the Menu icon.
Use the following Navigation: Manager Self Service > Job and Personal Information.
Click the Retire Employee link.
The Retire Employees page is displayed with a list of your employees.

Locate the employee to submit the retirement request, and click the Employee [>] button.

The Work and Job Information page is used to enter the retirement information.
The Effective Date field is used to enter the date of the termination. Retirement must be effective on the first day of a month. An employee who works any day during a month may not retire until the first day of the following month .
Enter the appropriate Date information or use the Calendar Tool to select the date.

To select a reason for the retirement, click the Reason dropdown menu.
Select the appropriate Retirement option.

Click the Next button.
If appropriate, use the comments field to enter a information about the termination.
Click the Submit button.
The Retire Employee confirmation page is displayed with a message that your transaction has been successfully submitted for approval.
Note: The Pending section displays the approval levels that the retirement request may go through in the approvals workflow process.
Not all levels of approvals displayed in this section are required. Departments will determine the required approval levels. This article provides instructions on how to view approvers assigned to this workflow and add approvers and or reviewers to this transaction.
