Editing a Canceled Absence Request

   Overview   

Employees can edit a canceled absence request that was previously submitted/approved. This is done via the View Absence Request tile in OneUSG Connect.

Note: A request must first be in canceled status to be edited.

In this article, you learn the steps to edit a previously canceled absence request in OneUSG Connect.

1. Step 1

The Employee Self Service page is displayed with the Time and Absence tile highlighted.

First, log into OneUSG Connect.

On the Employee Self Service homepage page in OneUSG Connect, click the Time and Absence tile

2. Step 2

The Time page is displayed with the View Absence Requests tile highlighted.

The Time page is displayed.

Click the View Absence Requests link.

3. Step 3

The View Requests page is displayed with a Sick Leave request line highlighted.

The View Request Page is displayed with a view of both 90-day historical and 90-day future absence requests.

Select the appropriate canceled request to edit.

Note : To view an expanded history of your leave requests, use the Filter button. 

4. Step 4

The Manage Absences page is displayed with the Partial Days section highlighted.

The Request Absence page is displayed with the canceled absence details. Modify the appropriate fields as needed.

For this example, you will edit the Duration Hours field.

Click the Partial Days button.

5. Step 5

The Partial Days pop-up is displayed and highlighted.

The Partial Days window is displayed.

Click the Partial Days drop-down list.

6. Step 6

The Partial Days dropdown menu within the pop-up is highlighted.

From the Partial Days list, select the appropriate type.

Note: If you are taking one day of leave, select either All Days or Start Day Only.

7. Step 7

The Duration field is highlighted.

Enter the appropriate number of leave hours requested for your partial day.

Example shown here:  " 1 " in the Duration field.

8. Step 8

The Done button is highlighted.

Click the Done button.

9. Step 9

The Check Leave Balance button is highlighted.

Verify the Duration field has been updated to reflect the number of hours of leave you are requesting.

Click the Check Leave Balance button.

10. Step 10

The Eligible pop-up is displayed with the OK button highlighted.

A message is displayed, indicating your eligibility for the requested amount of leave.

Click the OK button.

11. Step 11

The Forecast Details button is highlighted.

If your request date is in the future, you can see the approximate balance of leave available at that point in time.

Click the Forecast Details link.

12. Step 12

The Eligibility Details pop-up is displayed and highlighted.

Requests are subject to the USG cascading rules. You will not be able to create a negative leave balance. 

After reviewing the eligible leave ba lance, click the Close button.

13. Step 13

The Submit button is highlighted.

When you have finished editing the absence request, click the Submit button.

14. Step 14

The Eligible notification is displayed with the OK button highlighted.

A message is displayed, indicating your eligibility for the requested amount of leave.

Click the OK button.

15. Step 15

A second confirmation pop-up is displayed with the Yes button highlighted.

A message is displayed, confirming your action to submit the absence request.

Click the Yes button.

16. Step 16

The Submitted section in the Sick Leave tile is highlighted.

A confirmation message is displayed stating the canceled absence request has been edited and submitted successfully.
