You can run a query in the UGA Financial Management System to view indirect cost (IDC)/F&A revenue and associated charges by project, chartstring, and PI. The name of the query is UGA_GM_DPT_IDC_REV_W_PI.
In this article, you will learn the steps to run a query to view indirect cost (F&A) revenue and associated charges that also shows the associated Principal Investigator (PI).
First, log into the Financial Management System
On the UGA Financials homepage, click the Query Viewer tile.
The Query Viewer page is displayed.
Enter the query name " UGA_GM_DPT_IDC_REV_W_PI " into the begins with field.
Click the Search button.
The query is displayed . Click the HTML link to open the results as a webpage.
The search criteria for the query is displayed. You can enter available information into the search fields to refine your search results.
Click the calendar icon next to the From Acctg Date button to select the appropriate date.
Select the date at the beginning of the Accounting Period that you want to search.
Note : An Accounting Period runs from the first of the month to the last of the month. For example, the first Accounting Period is July, which runs July 1 through July 31.

Click the calendar icon next to the To Acctg Date field to select the appropriate date.
Select the last day of the Accounting Period that you want to search.

With your search parameters selected, click the View Results button.
The requested result is displayed.
Click the Excel SpreadSheet link to open the data in an Excel file.
When prompted, click the Open button to download the data into an Excel file.
The Excel file is displayed. You can filter and sort through the results to view the data you want. Scroll to the right to view additional information.
The additional information is displayed, including the IDC revenue by chartstring. The name of the PI is located in Column M.
