Viewing SpeedTypes

   Overview   

In this article you will run a query to locate and view SpeedTypes. You will also learn to download the file to an Excel Spreadsheet.

In this article, you will learn the steps to view SpeedTypes using Query Viewer.

1. Step 1

First, log into the Financial Management System.

From the UGA Financials homepage, click the Query Viewer tile.

The Query Viewer search page is displayed.

Enter " UGA_GL_SPEEDTYPES " into the begins with field.

3. Step 3

Click the Search button.

The UGA_GL_SPEEDTYPES query is displayed in the Query Name field.

In the Query name field, click the HTML link

5. Step 5

The Query Parameters page is displayed. This page is used to enter the reporting parameters you wish to use to search for your query.

The percent (%) sign is a wildcard, which will return all results for that field.

Example sohwn here: Dept field to search for your SpeedType(s).

To clear the field, press [Delete] to continue.

6. Step 6

The number you enter into the Dept field will determine the number of results being returned.

Enter appropriate information into the Dept field.

Example shown: " 3200% ".

7. Step 7

Click the View Results button.

8. Step 8

A list of results meeting the defined criteria is displayed. If necessary, use the scroll bar to view all of the results on the page.

9. Step 9

Click the Excel SpreadSheet link to open the results as an Excel file.

10. Step 10

You may receive a message at the bottom of the page asking you if you want to open or save the query.

Click the Open button

The Excel spreadsheet opens in a new window.

12. Step 12

You can save the file to your desktop to filter or sort the information.

Click the Close [X] button to return to the Query Viewer page.
