This article shows you how to add a combo code to a specific Time Band for a position.
In this article, you will learn the steps to add a combo code to a selected Time Band in the UGA Budget Management System.
Note: Data has been redacted to protect employee information.
First log into the UGA Budget Management System.
On the UGA Budget Management System HomePage, click the BUDDEV link in the Applications box.
To access the Salary forms, in the Form Folder section, use the following navigation: Forms > Salary .
Click the Salary link.
The forms associated with salary are displayed in the Form section.
Click the Position Budgeting link.
The Position Budgeting section is displayed on the right side of the screen.
To collapse the pane on the left side of the screen and maximize your workspace, click the collapse pane arrow to the left of the Position Budgeting form.
First, click the employee name drop down menu to search for the appropriate employee.
After you have selected an employee, click the GO arrow button.
The position funding page for the selected employee is displayed.
In the Funding Distribution section, select a Time Band to which you wish to add a combo code.

On the tab for the selected Time Band, the combo code and chartstring information is displayed.
Right-click anywhere in the tab to open the pop-up menu.

A pop-up menu is displayed.
Click the Add Distribution Line link.
The Runtime Prompts - Add Distribution Line dialog box is displayed.
You can manually enter a combo code in the Value field if have one or you can click the Member Selection icon next to the combo code field to search for a value.

The Member Selection dialog box is displayed.
Expand the Institutional Departments CCs tree.
Continue to expand the tree to locate, and select the appropriate combo code.
The combo code starts with 18, and it is the zero level of the combo code tree.
Note: A combo code ending "SUS" is a suspense combo code which cannot be budgeted. If selected, it will show up on an invalid funding report and must be cleared before the end of the budget development.

With the appropriate combo code selected, click the Add arrow.
The new combo code is displayed in the Alias section on the right.
Click the OK button.
You are returned to the Runtime Prompts - Add Distribution Line dialog box.
Click the Launch button.
A message confirms that adding the combo code was successful.
You can see the added combo code in the selected Time Band tab.
