The Custodial Record may have a history. This history contains equipment/asset information, location, custodian, serial number, etc.
In this article, you will learn how to review custodial history of an asset.
First, log into the Financial Management System
On the UGA Financials page, click the Classic Home tile.
To navigate to the Basic Add page, select:
Main Menu > Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Owned Assets > Basic Add
The Asset Basic Information page displays with search criteria.
The Business Unit field will default to 18000 (determined by user preferences), leave as displayed.
Note: The Business Unit for Asset Management will always be 18000. You may need to enter this if this is not the default value in your user preferences.
Leave the Asset ID field blank.
You can search by Asset ID. Examplw shown here: searching by Tag Number.
Enter the Tag Number into the Tag Number field.
Note: You can also search by asset ID if the tag number is not known.

Click the Search button.
The Asset General Information tab is displayed.
Click the Manufacture/License/Custodian tab.
The Manufacturer Information is displayed at the top of the page.
Click the Include History button at the bottom of the page.
In the Custodian Information section, find the left and right triangle arrows at the top right of the Custodian Information box.
Click the right triangle in the top right corner of the Custodian Information box to see the past location and custodian information of the asset.
You can click the left triangle to navigate back to the most recent custodial record.
Note: The current and newest record will be displayed first, followed by the older records.
To view all Custodian Information records, click the View All link.
Custodian Information is displayed. You can scroll down to see each record.
Note: The first custodial record will be at the bottom of the page.
At the top of the Custodian Information box, Click the View 1 link.
The past records collapse and the View 1 Link changes to View All.
