The Project Status Cube can be used to view budget-to-actual information at the summary or detail level. This cube will be download as an Excel spreadsheet and utilizes "pivot table" functionality.

In this article, you will learn the steps to download and run the Project Status Cube in the Data Warehouse.
First, log into Office of Institutional Research
From the Office of Institutional Research homepage (https://oir.uga.edu ) , click the Operational Reports link.
The UGA Single Sign-On page is displayed. Enter the necessary information in the Username and Password fields.
Click the Login button.
The Operational Reports page is displayed.
Click the Project Status link.
The Project Status operational reports menu is displayed.
Click the Project Status Cube link.
Foll ow the system prompts to open the Project_Status_Cube.xlsx file in Excel.
The Project Status Cube is opened in Excel.
To begin working with the cube, click in the Enable Content field.
To view the data, click the Project Default View tab.
The Project Default View is displayed.
To freeze the filters and row labels, click the appropriate row header.

Row 7 is selected. The freeze panes options are located under the View tab.
Click the View tab.
Click the Freeze Panes button.
The Freeze Panes menu is displayed.
Click the Freeze Panes.
The top rows are frozen in the view.
Click any cell within the table to view the PivotTable Fields menu.
Click the PM Name drop-down menu.
Enter the appropriate information into the search field.
Example shown here: " dickens ".
The matching results are displayed.
Select the appropriate Principal Investigator name.
Example shown here: Dickens, Charles (1801234) item.
Click the Ok button.
The data is filtered by the selected Principal Investigator name.
To view Project ID Description data, click and drag the Project ID Descr option to the Rows box.
Click the Project Activity Flag drop-down menu.
The Project Activity Flag defines whether a project is considered active or inactive. Inactive projects are those projects that ended more than six months ago.
To expand the Project Activiy flag, click the All tree item.
Click the Active tree item.
Click the OK button.
The selected value is expanded to show associated data.
To drill through for additional details, right click the appropriate cell.

The options menu is displayed.
From the options drop-down menu, follow this navigation:
Additional Actions > KK Transactions Detail Drillthrough .
Click the KK Transactions Detail Drillthrough option.
The KK Drill Through data for the selected cell is displayed.
Right click the appropriate column(s) you would like to exclude from the report.
Example shown here: hide the Fiscal Year, "A" column header.
The column options menu is displayed.
Click the Hide link.
The selected column is hidden. Repeat these steps as necessary to hide columns not needed in this view.
Choose the appropriate columns headers to display the Actual Amount and Encumbrance Amount data in accounting format.

With the appropriate columns selected, click the Home tab.
Click the Accounting Number Format button.
The columns are displayed in an accounting format.
To return to the previous view, click the Project Default View tab.
The Project Status Cube is displayed.
To filter by specific account code information, click the [>] button before the UGAACCTTREE option in the PivotTable Fields menu.
Click the + button before the UGAACCTTREE Level01 tree option.
The UGAACCTREE Level01 menu is displayed.
Click the [+] expansion button to the left of 000000 - Accounts option.
The 000000 - Accounts list is expanded.
Use the check boxes to deselect the appropriate options for removal from display.
With the appropriate options selecte , click the OK button.
The selected options are removed from the report.
