Campaign for Charities is now within OneUSG Connect during the program's open enrollment period.
The University of Georgia participates annually in the Georgia State Charitable Contributions Program. The Campaign for Charities provides a number of opportunities for faculty and staff to contribute to organizations that make a difference, and UGA has established an outstanding tradition of supporting this campaign.

UGA Campaign for Charities website
In this article, you will learn the steps to make elections to the State Charitable Contributions Program as part of UGA's Campaign for Charities from within OneUSG Connect.
From the OneUSG Connect Employee Self Service homepage, click the Make SSCP Contribution tile.
The Make Charitable Campaign Pledge page is displayed. On this page, you will start the process of setting up your charitable pledge(s) by selecting your county of residency.
To display a list of counties to choose from, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the look-up magnifying glass in the County of Residency field.
The Look Up County of Residency pop-up window is displayed.
On this page, you can select your county of residence from the populated list or search for it by typing the appropriate information in the County field.
Note: If your county is outside the state of Georgia, select Fulton County.
Select the appropriate county from in the list.

The selected county is displayed.
Click the Next button to continue.
The Add/Edit Pledge field is displayed. The Add New Pledge button allows the selection of charitable organization(s) to make a pledge. The Edit and Delete buttons allow you to modify pledges from previous years.
Note: If you have previously participated in SCCP, the system will automatically populate the deduction pages with your election(s) from the past year. The system does not automatically enroll, but it does display your pledge(s) from last year so all you have to do is hit Submit Pledge to re-enroll. Also, the donations you made last year may not be available this year due to changes in eligible charities to contribute to.

To display the list of available charitable organizations, click the look-up magnifying glass in the Charity Name field.
Note: If you do not want to participate in SCCP, click the box next to I do not wish to participate in the SCCP this year and click Save Pledge.
The Look Up pop-up window is displayed.
On this page, you can search for a charitable organization by typing part or all of the name of the organization into the Description field. You can change the search operator to help narrow your search.
In addition, a list of charitable organization can be found on the Campaign for Charities website at charities.uga.edu .
Note: The Contribution Codes have changed from previous years. It is now an 8-digit alphanumeric code.
Choose the contains filter from the Descriptions drop-down list.
In the Description text box, enter part or all of the organization name.

Click the Search button.
The search results are displayed.
Locate the appropriate organization from the results list and click to select the organization.

The Contribution Code and name of the designated charitable organization are displayed.
Next, enter the pledge amount in the “Enter Amount to be Deducted per Paycheck” field.
Note: Alternatively, you can also enter the amount you want to contribute by check in the Enter Amount of Cash/Check field. This does not set up a direct withdraw from your bank account. You will see the mailing address for your contribution after you submit your pledge.

To authorize the dollar amount you pledged, click the Save Pledge button.
The Add/Edit or Verify Pledge page is displayed. On this page, you can verify and edit your pledge. The Total column indicates how much you are pledging for the January - December period - the total of all donations for the year.
To pledge money for additional agencies (up to 12), click the Add New Pledge button.

Follow the same steps that you just completed to add a new pledge.
Click the look-up magnifying glass in the Charity Name field.
Select the appropriate charity from the populated list or search as needed.

The Contribution Code and name of the selected organization are displayed.
Enter the pledged dollar amount you want to be deducted from your paycheck.

Click the Save Pledge button.
The selected charities are displayed.
Once you have added all of the organizations to which you want to make a pledge, you still need to confirm your pledges.
At the bottom of the page, click the appropriate radio button to answer the question "Would you like to receive a letter acknowledging your gift(s) from the State Charitable Contributions Program?" This initiates a letter from the Georgia Department of Administrative Services.

To complete the process, click the Submit Pledge button.
The View Charitable Campaign Pledge page is displayed.
On this page, you can print a copy of your elected campaign pledges. The mailing address for check pledges is also listed. Be sure to follow the instructions provided in your Campaign for Charities packet.
