Manually Uploading a Document

This article walks you through the steps to manually upload a document to the Perceptive Content 7 system.

In this article, you will learn the steps to manually upload a document to the Perceptive Content 7 system.

1. Step 1

Log into Content 7 using your MyID credentials.

To upload a document, you can drag and drop the document you wish to upload onto the 'Documents' icon.

3. Step 3

A new document with fillable fields will display for you to enter information.

Click the drop-down menu to select an application plan under Application Plan.

Note: Re-select the Application Plan field even if an application plan is pre-populated.

Click the SPA Manual list item.

Notice that once you select an Application Plan, it populates the Unique ID field.

The Drawer field will default to SPA. Leave it as displayed.

Note: Enter values into any fields that you wish to be able to search by later. Depending on the document type, you will not be allowed to upload without filling out certain key fields.

Enter appropriate information in the Name field.

The Portal Award ID # and Portal FP # fields are optional.

To select the Type, click the drop-down arrow next to <<SPA Please Select>>.

Select the SPA-A-Award Budget list item.

Note that the Custom Properties fields will populate with your selection of the Type field.

Click the OK button.

The document that you uploaded will display in a new Content Viewer window. This confirms a successful upload.

Click the Close button.

For demonstration purposes, we will double check that the document successfully uploaded. (You will NOT need to do this each time.)

Click the Documents drop-down button to activate the menu.

The Perceptive Content Explorer window will display.

Click the + button before the SPA All Documents tree item to expand the menu.

The SPA All Documents tree will expand to allow you to search with different fields.

Search by one of the fields you entered when uploading.

20. Step 20

The Select a Search Value window will display.

Enter appropriate information into the field.

Click the OK button.

Double-click the document that you wish to view.

The document that you uploaded previously is displayed on the Content Viewer window confirming a successful upload.
