Deleting an Expense Line in a Pending Expense Report

It may be necessary to delete lines in an expense report. The Travel module provides the capability to delete an expense line in pending status only. In this article, you will learn to steps to delete an expense entry.  

 

In this article, you will learn the steps to delete an expense line in a pending expense report.

1. Step 1

The Employee Self Service page is displayed with the Expenses tile highlighted.

Click the Expenses tile.

2. Step 2

The Expenses page is displayed with the My Expense Reports tile highlighted.

Click the My Expense Reports tile.

3. Step 3

The My Expense Reports page is displayed with the Not Submitted link highlighted.

The My Expense Reports page is displayed. This page allows you to access expense reports in various stages.

Note: Only Returned or Not Submitted expense reports can be modified.

Click the Not Submitted link to open all the expense reports in that category.

4. Step 4

The My Expense Reports page is displayed with the Not Submitted expense report highlighted.

Note: If an expense line was added from item in My Wallet, and that expense line is deleted, the item will return to the employee's My Wallet for future use.   

Click the appropriate expense report to view its details at the expense line level.

5. Step 5

The Expense Entry page is displayed with the expense item for “SFS CAVALCADE NA 2025 PAPER SUBMISSION” highlighted.

The Expense Entry page displays expenses by dates.

Click the checkbox next to the expense line you wish to delete.

6. Step 6

The Expense Entry page is displayed with the Delete button highlighted.

Click the Delete button.

7. Step 7

A confirmation window is displayed with the Yes button highlighted.

In the confirmation window, click the Yes button to delete the selected expense.

8. Step 8

The Expense Entry page is displayed with the text "Total (5 Items) 365.00 USD" highlighted.

Notice that the selected expense line is deleted from the Total items.

9. Step 9

The Expense Entry page is displayed with the Save button highlighted.

Click the Save button to save your changes.

10. Step 10

The Home button is highlighted.

Your changes have been saved.

Click the Home button to return to the Home page.
