Viewing Project Expenditure Details by Department

   Overview   

This query shows fully processed detail level expenditures by department. The name of the query is UGA_GM_OP_EXP_BYDEPT.

In this article, you will learn the steps to run a query to view detail expenditures by project and department.

1. Step 1

Log into OneUSG

First, log into OneUSG Connect.                         

Click the drop-down button next to the Employee Self Service menu.

Click the UGA Financials link.

Click the Grants tile.

In the Grants Center menu, click the Grants WorkCenter tab.

The Grants WorkCenter page is displayed.

Click the Reports/Queries tab.

In the Reports/Processes section to the left of the page, click the Query Viewer link.

Click the  <<  button to maximize the Query Viewer page.

UGA_GM_OP_EXP_DETAIL_BYDEPT selected

On the Query Viewer page, enter "UGA_GM_OP_EXP_DETAIL_BYDEPT" in the begins with field.

9. Step 9

search button selected

Click the Search button.

10. Step 10

run to html link selected

The searched query is displayed. Click the HTML link.

11. Step 11

The searched query page is displayed. The top left corner contains search criteria you may use to search for specific awards. 

12. Step 12

from acctg date selected

Enter appropriate information into the From Acctg Date field.This field will restrict which awards are displayed, only showing awards from after the date you enter. 

Example shown here: 07/02/2018 in the From Acctg Date field. 

Note: The Accounting Period in Financials is based on the Fiscal Year, not the Calendar Year. Ex. 01 = July, 02= August, etc.

13. Step 13

to acctg date selected

Enter appropriate information into the To Acctg Date field.This field will restrict which awards are displayed, only showing awards from before the date you enter. 

Example shown here: 08/23/2018 in the To Acctg Date field. 

Note: The Accounting Period in Financials is based on the Fiscal Year, not the Calendar Year. Ex. 01 = July, 02= August, etc.

14. Step 14

view results button selected

Click the View Results button. 

15. Step 15

The results matching your search criteria are displayed.

excel spreadsheet link selected

Click the Excel SpreadSheet link to view the results in Excel.

17. Step 17

excel file displayed

The Excel file is displayed. You can filter through the columns to view the information you need.
