All information technology purchases must be reviewed through the IIT department to confirm compatibility with the UGA computing environment before purchase.
Standard Computer Specifications
When supply chain availability allows, the College of Pharmacy recommends the following minimum specifications:
- Windows computers: Intel i7 processor or better, 16 GB RAM, and a 512 GB hard drive. If the budget allows, a secondary video card may also be included.
- Apple computers: MacBook Pro with the latest available Apple processor, 24 GB RAM, and a 1 TB hard drive.
Requests for Above Standard Specifications
If you need a PC or Mac with specifications beyond the standard options listed above, the additional cost must be covered with your own funds.
