Accessing the OGE File Server

Requirements

  • Off-campus access requires the use of UGA's VPN servce to have access to the file server.

Windows Directions

  1. Highlight and copy this file link 
    file://share.oge.uga.edu
  2. On the keyboard, press Windows-Key and the letter R
  3. Paste the link from step 1 into the new window and click Enter
  4. Enter your MyID as myid\MYID-NAME and your UGA email password.
  5. A new File Explorer window should appear with the committee files. Navigate to the folder based on your unit's name.

Apple Computer Directions

  1. Click on Finder
  2. On the menu system, click Go
  3. Select Connect to Server...
  4. Enter the server name as 
    smb://share.oge.uga.edu
  5. Click Connect if asked to continue.
  6. Enter your MyID and MyID credentials to gain access. This will be in the format "MYID\yourMyID" E.G. MYID\jlp75069
  7. Navigate to the folder based on your unit's name.
