Changing Models in Microsoft 365 Copilot

Microsoft 365 Copilot offers access to multiple AI models, including OpenAI's GPT models and Anthropic's Claude models to process your requests. These instructions can be used to manually select your preferred model in Microsoft Copilot.

Microsoft 365 Copilot offers access to multiple AI models, including OpenAI's GPT models and Anthropic's Claude models to process your requests. You can change the model you are using at any time, even in the middle of a chat. 

How to change your AI model in Copilot

1. Create a New Chat or open an existing chat conversation.
2. Click the Auto option in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Select the desired model from the drop-down menu.

Claude and OpenAI model offerings may vary based on availability.

 

Note: Premium licenses for Microsoft 365 Copilot do not grant direct access to Claude or ChatGPT platforms; Copilot requests are only processed using these models.
