Microsoft Volume Licensing: EITS and Client Responsibilities

EITS responsibilities
- Confirm client purchase and provide relevant Microsoft product key(s) to the client under the Microsoft Campus Agreement (MCA).
- KMS keys will be added to our server for DNLs. All other keys should be requested by submitting a ticket. Some keys requiring purchase for activation will need to be renewed each year and EITS will reach out for renewal validation on those.
- Handle all contractual matters related to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
- Provide assistance, when necessary, with communications and clarification to the client's departmental users.
- Inform the client of any major letter changes.
Client responsibilities
- KMS requires a volume license setup; No individual key is needed for each user. KMS Keys can be downloaded from our server.
- Do not share the Microsoft Volume license codes with anyone other than the client's authorized and trained departmental IT representative.
- All other keys should be requested by submitting a ticket. Some keys may require a purchase before installation/activation. - Keys purchased will need to be renewed each year for continuity, they are not perpetual.
- Do not accept any "click through" agreements without prior approval.
- Hold EITS harmless against any charges for the client's unauthorized use of MCA and/or non-MCA products.
