How long does it take to receive CESS approval?

If you answered no to Question 2 in the CESS Flowchart, and your CESS Request is under $500K and all the required documentation or forms are attached, the standard CESS approval processing time is 7-10 business days. A failure to attach all the required documentation could result in additional processing time.
If you answered yes to Question 2 or Questions 3 in the CESS Flowchart, or your CESS Request is over $500K and all the required documentation or forms are attached, the standard CESS approval processing time is 17-25 business days. A failure to attach all the required documentation could result in additional processing time.

Do I need to indicate on my CESS request if my project will have multiple years of maintenance?
If your CESS project will have multiple years of cost and/or maintenance, please fill out the 5-Year CESS Project Cost Projection Form and attach it to your CESS request cart.
Do maintenance renewal purchase acquisition carts need CESS approval?
If the CESS number for the original maintenance or subscription is FY23 or after, you will need to enter the CESS number in the CESS # field when you submit your UGAmart cart for the maintenance or subscription renewal.
If the CESS number for the original maintenance or subscription is FY22 or before, you will need to submit a new CESS request for approval before you can submit the renewal cart. This is due to the increased focus on IT security and risk management.
When the CESS request is approved, you will need to enter the CESS number in the CESS # field when you submit your UGAmart cart for the maintenance or subscription renewal.
