Viewing and Updating Emergency Contacts in OneUSG Connect

In this article, you will learn the steps to view and update your emergency contact information in OneUSG Connect.

   Overview   

Employees can use the Personal Details tile in Employee Self Service to view, edit, and add emergency contact information.

As of October 12, 2024, you must be connected to a UGA Campus network to make changes to Personal Details information.  Other connections are view only access.  If you cannot connect from a campus network and need to make changes, please contact the UGA HR team

In this article, you will learn the steps to view and update your emergency contact information in OneUSG Connect.

1. Step 1

First, log into OneUSG Connect.

On the OneUSG Connect homepage, click the Personal Details tile.

2. Step 2

The Personal Details Page is displayed. On this page you can view and update your personal information. 

To view or update your emergency contact information, click the Emergency Contacts tile.

3. Step 3

On the Emergency Contacts Details page, review the Changes to Personal Details warning.  You must be on a UGA network to make changes to this page.

Click the Update Emergency Contacts button.

Special Note

You must be on campus internet to access next steps
If you try to access or update the Direct Deposit page from an off campus network, a message is displayed instructing you to contact your Human Resources or Payroll representatives.

4. Step 4

The Emergency Contacts menu is displayed.

A list of existing contacts shows the Contact Name, Relationship, and whether they are your preferred contact. Click any of the Contact Names edit the contact information.

5. Step 5

To add a person to your existing emergency contact information, click the  [+] button.

Enter appropriate information in the Contact Name field .

7. Step 7

Click the Relationship dropdown list, then choose the appropriate contact relationship.

8. Step 8

A valid phone number is required when adding an emergency contact person.

Click the Add Phone Number button.

9. Step 9

The Phone Number popup window is displayed.

Click the *Type  dropdown list, then select the type of phone number you are adding.

10. Step 10

Enter the appropriate phone number for the emergency contact in the  *Number  field.

Example shown here: " 7061234567" in the Number field.

11. Step 11

Click the Done button.

Click the Save button.

The Emergency Contact information has been successfully updated with the added contact person.
