Viewing Foundation Account Information in the Budget Status Cube

This article will walk you through the steps to access the Budget Status Cube and create a Budget Status spreadsheet from the data you select.

   Instructions   

  1. Step 1From the UGA home page enter "reports.uga.edu" into the navigation field to navigate to the available reports page. Click the Most Commonly Used menu.
  2. Step 2Click the Budget_Status_Cube link.
  3. Step 3On the Data Warehouse home page, click the All UGA Faculty and Staff Reports folder.
  4. Step 4Click the Financial folder.
  5. Step 5: Click the Budget_Status_Cube.xlsx Excel Workbook to view the file.
  6. Step 6: Click the Open button.
  7. Step 7: The Instructions tab is displayed. Once you have read through the instructions click in the Enable Content field to edit the Excel spreadsheet.
  8. Step 8: Click the ClassDept tab.
  9. Step 9: To select the appropriate department, click the Dept ID Descr UGADEPTBUDRPT drop-down list.
  10. Step 10: Click the All tree item.
  11. Step 11: Click the OK button.
  12. Step 12: Click the drop-down button next to the Row Labels field.
  13. Step 13: Click the Class ID Descr drop-down list.
  14. Step 14: Click the Class ID Descr list item.
  15. Step 15: Enter appropriate Class ID into the search field.
  16. Step 16: Click the (Select All Search Results) option to clear the selection.
  17. Step 17: Click the appropriate Class ID. You can select multiple values.
  18. Step 18: Scoll down to pick the appropriate tree item.
  19. Step 19: Click the appropriate tree item.
  20. Step 20: Click the appropriate tree item.
  21. Step 21Once you have selected the Class IDs that you need click the OK button.
  22. Step 22To drill down to the transaction level for the Actual Amount column, right-click the appropriate cell to reveal the options menu.
  23. Step 23Within the Additional Actions menu, click the Transactions Drillthrough menu item.
  24. Step 24A new sheet is generated displaying the requested information.
  25. Step 25You can scroll to the right of the page to see additional fields.
  26. Step 26You can save the new sheet for further analysis of the data.
  27. Step 27Click the Delete link from the menu.
  28. Step 28A confirmation page is displayed.  Click the Delete button.

Once you have selected the Class IDs that you need click the OK button.

To drill down to the transaction level for the Actual Amount column, right-click the appropriate cell to reveal the options menu.

The options menu is revealed. Hover over the arrow next to the Additional Actions menu option to reveal a sub-menu.

Within the Additional Actions menu, click the Transactions Drillthrough menu item.

A new sheet is generated displaying the requested information.

You can scroll to the right of the page to see additional fields.

You can save the new sheet for further analysis of the data.
