Creating an Export

In this article, you will learn the steps to create an export in the Animal Operations Portal.

You can use the ANOPS Portal to export research animals.

   Instructions   

  1. Step 1On the Animal Operations Portal homepage, click the IACUC link.
  2. Step 2Select the appropriate Animal Use Protocol (AUP).
  3. Step 3To start a new export, click the Create Export button.
  4. Step 4The Export Request - Basic Information page is displayed. You will provide the contact's information in the fields below.
  5. Step 5Enter the name of the organization that will receive the animals into the Export to Organization field.
  6. Step 6Enter the primary contact's name into the Contact Name field.
  7. Step 7Enter the primary contact's email address into the Contact Email field.
  8. Step 8Enter the primary contact's mobile or work number into the Contact Phone field.
  9. Step 9Click the Continue button to proceed to the next section.
  10. Step 10The Select Cage Cards page is displayed. This is where you will select the cage cards to include in the export.
  11. Step 11To select the cage cards for export, click the  [...]  button to browse.
  12. Step 12The available cage cards are displayed and can be filtered using Cage Card ID, Species, or Status.
  13. Step 13: To select a card to include in the export, click the checkbox next to the appropriate Cage Card ID.
  14. Step 14: You can select multiple cage cards by clicking each of their checkboxes.
  15. Step 15: With the appropriate cards selected, click the OK button.
  16. Step 16: To select a business manager from a list, click the [...] button to browse.
  17. Step 17: A list of business managers appear. You can filter this list by last name, first name, email, or organization.
  18. Step 18: Select the appropriate business manager from the list.
  19. Step 19: With the appropriate business manager selected, click the OK button.
  20. Step 20: To select a preferred payment method for the export, click the Payment Method drop-down list.
  21. Step 21: You can choose between paying with a check or from a saved chart string number from your Researcher Profile. Select the appropriate method of payment.
  22. Step 22: If you select to pay from a chart string, a list of saved chart strings is displayed.
  23. Step 23: Select the appropriate chart string from the list.
  24. Step 24: Click the Save Draft button.
  25. Step 25: After reviewing the details, click the Submit button.
  26. Step 26: The Submit Export Request window is displayed showing the selected payment method. If accurate, click the OK button to complete the export request.
  27. Step 27: The request has been submitted. The Status of the request has been updated to reflect that it is now under Business Manager Review.

    Actions taken on the export can be viewed in the History section at the bottom of the screen.

On the Animal Operations Portal homepage, click the IACUC link.

The IACUC page is displayed.

Select the appropriate Animal Use Protocol (AUP).

To start a new export, click the Create Export button.

The Export Request - Basic Information page is displayed. You will provide the contact's information in the fields below.

Enter the name of the organization that will receive the animals into the Export to Organization field.

Enter the primary contact's name into the Contact Name field.

Enter the primary contact's email address into the Contact Email field.

Enter the primary contact's mobile or work number into the Contact Phone field.

Click the Continue button to proceed to the next section.

The Select Cage Cards page is displayed. This is where you will select the cage cards to include in the export.

To select the cage cards for export, click the  [...]  button to browse.

The available cage cards are displayed and can be filtered using Cage Card ID, Species, or Status.

To select a card to include in the export, click the checkbox next to the appropriate Cage Card ID.

You can select multiple cage cards by clicking each of their checkboxes.

With the appropriate cards selected, click the OK button.

Select a business manager who will handle the financial aspects of the export.

To select a business manager from a list, click the [...]  button to browse.

A list of business managers appear. You can filter this list by last name, first name, email, or organization.

Select the appropriate business manager from the list.

With the appropriate business manager selected, click the OK button.

To select a preferred payment method for the export, click the Payment Method drop-down list.

You can choose between paying with a check or from a saved chart string number from your Researcher Profile.

Note : A chart string is a combination of ChartFields used to indicate the accounting information (account, fund, class, etc.) to which the charge should be made.

Select the appropriate method of payment.

If you select to pay from a chart string, a list of saved chart strings is displayed.

Select the appropriate chart string from the list.

Click the Save Draft button.

The Export Summary page is displayed.

After reviewing the details, click the Submit button.

The Submit Export Request window is displayed showing the selected payment method.

If accurate, click the OK button to complete the export request.

The request has been submitted. The Status of the request has been updated to reflect that it is now under Business Manager Review.

Actions taken on the export can be viewed in the History section at the bottom of the screen.
