Before you begin
If you are a new Outlook add-in user, your GAIL account must be updated with permissions before you can use this add-in. Please create a ticket to get these permissions added before proceeding. You can create a ticket by
clicking here, or by sending an email to
askit@uga.edu.
Once your permissions have been added, you can proceed with the below instructions.
Adding or upgrading the add-in
- Click the "manifest.xml" link along the right side of this article and download it to your computer. Make note of where it was downloaded.
- Close your desktop version of Outlook. All add-in management is done via your browser.
- Click here to manage your Outlook add-ins with the Office365 web interface.
- NOTE: This link opens the web version of Outlook. This is the only way to manage custom add-ins with Outlook. Please log in using your UGA MyID credentials. After logging in, the add-in management window will display; it can sometimes take several seconds for it to show, so please be patient.
- TIP: By right-clicking the link (or control-clicking for Mac users), you have the option to open the page in a new window or browser tab. A separate window will make following these steps much easier.
- In the add-in management window, along the left, click on "My add-ins", and scroll to the bottom.

- Remove the existing add-in if you are upgrading.
- NOTE: If you are installing this for the first time, skip this step.
- Click the three dots on the current add-in, and select "Remove"

- The Zuri Outlook Add-in has now been removed from Outlook.
- Click the Add a custom add-in drop down and choose Add from File.

- Your computer will prompt you for the location of the add-in. Find where you downloaded in step 1 and upload it. Office365 will ask you to verify that you want to install this custom add-in. Click install.

- The add-in installation is now complete. It may take several minutes for the add-in to display in either the Outlook Web interface or your desktop client. To verify that it is installed, close your browser window for Outlook Web, go back to step 3 and click the link again. Re-open the "My Add-ins" link, scroll to the bottom, and ensure that you see the add-in displayed.
- The way to use the add-in varies slightly on different versions of Outlook (i.e. Mac vs. PC, or Web vs. Desktop). It is recommended to click the link below, under "How to use it" to see a short video that outlines the general use of the plugin.
