General Policy Statement

 

For your protection and the institute’s protection, UGA employees do not have the authority to sign on behalf of UGA or UGAF any contracts without review and approval by either the Office of Legal Affairs or UGAF. “Contract” means any contract, agreement, memorandum of understanding, memorandum of agreement, letter of intent, or other written or electronic document, or renewal of or amendment to such document that commits the funds, personnel, facilities, equipment, property, or other resources of the University or Foundation. A contract signed by a University employee without proper review may subject the employee to personal liability for the contract.
